The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Roberto Beltrán Zavala brought the International Spring Orchestra Festival to a spectacular conclusion celebrating the struggles for freedom through Karl Fiorini’s first symphony dedicated to the golden jubilee anniversary of Malta’s independence.

Alongside the symphony, Beltrán Zavala guided us on a musical journey to the near orient with Rimsky-Korsakov’s most popular work and highly evocative Scheherazade suite, bringing the evening and the festival to a magnificent finale.
