The forthcoming performances of Francesca Dego in Úbeda and Granada will bring a special depth and elegance to Barber’s Violin Concerto, a work that requires both virtuosity and emotional sensitivity. Dego’s playing is admired for its clarity, warmth and expressive honesty, qualities that fit Barber’s music especially well.
Together with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada and conductor Lucas Macías, she approaches the concerto with a sense of lyricism and dramatic balance that goes beyond pure display. These performances promise an interpretation of Barber that is both intimate and deeply compelling.
The concerts will take place at the Hospital de Santiago in Úbeda and at Auditorio Manuel de Falla in Granada.
