On Thursday, October 22, pianist Alexandra Segal and the Madrid Soloists orchestra make their Santander debut with a program dedicated to the music of Dmitri Shostakovich, one of the 20th century’s most fascinating and intense composers.
The program includes Anton Arensky’s Variations on a Theme of Tchaikovsky; Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 1, with the soloists Alexandra Segal, piano and Marcos García Vaquero, trumpet and Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony, in the arrangement by Rudolf Barshai.
